How the airport pickup works

The part most people worry about, explained properly — including exactly where to stand when you come out of baggage claim.

Book, any time

Choose your destination, vehicle, date and time. Add car seats (free), extra stops, or meet-and-greet inside baggage claim. Give us your flight number — it's what lets us track you. Booking for today works too; inside 24 hours the portal takes it as a request and we confirm by text.

We watch the flight

If you're early or delayed, the pickup time moves automatically, up to two hours, at no charge. You don't need to call. If something bigger changes, we'll text you.

Your driver texts you

The day before — usually between noon and 8pm — to confirm your flight and pickup. Please reply so they know you've got it. You're texting a person, not a dispatch queue.

Curbside, then straight there

Collect your bags, head down to Level 1 and text your driver which pillar you're at. They load the skis — then it's your vehicle, your route, no other stops.

At SLC airport

Where to meet your driver

Six steps from the gate to the curb — these are the actual signs, doors and pillars you'll see.

  1. A plane on the runway at Salt Lake City airport with snowy mountains behind

    When you land

Take your phone off airplane mode. Your driver will text you — reply so they know you've got it.

  2. An airport corridor with overhead signs pointing to baggage claim

Follow the signs to baggage claim

Everyone arriving at SLC heads the same way — just follow Baggage Claim.

  3. Travellers collecting luggage at a baggage claim carousel

    Collect your bags

Grab your luggage and ski bags, then head for Level 1 Passenger Pickup.

  4. The escalator and stairs down to the Level 1 passenger pickup area

    Go downstairs to Level 1

Take the escalator or stairs down to Passenger Pickup, signed Ground Transportation.

  5. Sliding glass exit doors leading out to the passenger pickup curb

Walk out through doors L2 or L3

Stay on this side of the road — there's no need to cross the crosswalk.

  6. The passenger pickup curb at SLC airport, with a black SUV waiting by the numbered pillars

    Wait by pillar 5A, 4A or 3A

Text your driver which pillar you're at. They'll reply with their ETA and the vehicle to look for.

Rather be met inside?

Add meet-and-greet when you book and your driver waits in baggage claim with a sign, then walks you out. It's $40 — worth it with small children, lots of gear, or a late arrival.

Held up at baggage claim?

Just text your driver — that's what the thread is for. They wait 15 minutes at the pickup point. Can't reach them? Call dispatch at (435) 602-4710 or email info@myshuttleutah.com.

Flying home?

Your driver texts the day before to confirm your pickup time and address, and arrives on time if not early. Plan to reach the airport about 1½ hours before your flight.

Winter

When it's snowing

We drive in it. Our vehicles are four-wheel drive and our drivers run the canyons every day of the season. A heavy storm turns a 35-minute drive to Park City into an hour, and we build that in rather than rushing it.

Little Cottonwood and Big Cottonwood are different — they close for avalanche control, sometimes for hours, and Utah's traction law is enforced at the canyon mouth. We check UDOT's canyon status before every pickup and text you if it changes your timing.

If conditions ever make a trip genuinely unsafe and we have to cancel, you choose: a full refund, or rebooking at no extra charge.
